The group meets each Thursday afternoon from 2 to 4pm.
We each bring our own craft and we have seen quite a variety over the years! Knitting, crochet, tapestry, patchwork, painting, lino cuts, and felting to name just a few.
Occasionally, we have had a demonstration from a visiting expert. To date, these sessions have been on crochet, wreath making, collage, paper mâché and Christmas Crafts.
We have combined our skills to create tapestries representing the Village Fete as a project during the pandemic. These hang in the entrance of the Village Hall.
We made bunting to promote the fundraising for the new playground equipment and we made blankets for the special care baby unit at Ipswich Hospital.
We also got involved with 2022 Crowfield Church Flower Festival and displayed some of our individual craft skills in the joint project. We will be back in 2023!
It is a very informal and relaxed afternoon with usually 8 to 10 attending at any one time. We enjoy the chat and a cuppa. We each pay £2 to cover costs. Very occasionally we meet at someone’s home or may have to cancel a session due to other events going on, but generally it is a regular weekly event at the Hall.
Contact Carol Raffe on 07710 722268 if you wish for more details but otherwise, come along any Thursday. No need to book!
